The Age of Creativity provides leadership, profile, advocacy and infrastructure development for everyone who believes in the value of creativity for older people. Established in 2012 with funding from the Baring Foundation, the project aims to support professionals working in arts, health, culture, social care, academia, voluntary and community sectors to enable more older people to take part creative activities and enjoy improved health, wellbeing and quality of life.
The Age of Creativity is an online platform with an extremely wide and varied international membership base. The current website has 3 main functions:
MEMBERSHIP IS FREE. ALL members RECEIVE a free, tailored e-news update sent to THEIR inbox at regular intervals. We design and deliver an innovative programme of online events, as well as strong presence on social media. We invite members to write topical blogs and we also provide advocacy information for those who are new to our work.
