This is not a new film, but what is new is the opportunity to watch it again and participate in a Q&A with Manon Bruinsma, Music & Memory's European Director who is a Music Therapist.
The film shows what the power of music does for older people. It portrays a social worker, Dan Cohen, in his quest to give older people access to their favourite music. The film won the 2014 Sundance Documentary Audience Award. Dan Cohen founded a non-profit organisation, Music & Memory, dedicated to giving older people access to their favourite personal music, wherever they are. Music & Memory is now the fastest growing non-pharmacological approach, and is considered to be the most effective.
