Green Candle Dance Company's annual festival celebrating older people dancing is back for the fifth year running!
Sagacity! is held over two days offering a range of free dance activities for participants to get involved in, or if you don't fancy dancing yourself you can choose to sit back and enjoy watching some unique older dance companies for free in the gala performance.
Day One: Monday 3rd July
'Back to '87' ' Participate and Enjoy!
Choose from our themed dance workshops inspired by popular culture from 1987 in celebration of Green Candle's 30th Birthday and get a chance to share your new moves with the other dancers afterwards! After lunch join us to watch the classic dance lover's film Dirty Dancing!
10.00-11.30am: Choose from Michael Jackson's Bad or Dirty Dancing
11.45-1.15pm: Choose from The Bangles' Walk like an Egyptian or Jackie Wilson's Reet Petite (jive)
1.15-2.15pm: FREE lunch for all workshop participants
2.15-3.45pm: FREE film screening of Dirty Dancing for workshop participants
Tuesday 4th July: Gala Performance
6.30pm ' 8pm
An evening performance suitable for all to watch and enjoy, featuring a selection of London's most vibrant and diverse older people's dance companies in the Oxford House theatre.
Sagacity! is a FREE event but booking is essential.
