The programme provides funding support to community and voluntary groups, local authorities and arts organisations, to develop sustainable creative programmes for older citizens throughout
Northern Ireland, and particularly in rural areas,
Neighbourhood Renewal Areas and Areas at Risk. It supports government priorities, particularly in relation
to equality and social inclusion, and it anchors the arts as delivery agents in health and social care.
It aims to challenge perceptions of what it means to be an older person and, with the contribution of professional artists, covers the full range of creative
activities, from storytelling to circus skills.
