This year's theme is 'partnership' because that's how the best projects and activities develop, sustain and grow. We want to showcase the age friendly creative opportunities that are already taking place up and down the country throughout 1-14th October, and we also want to support new and emerging work that could blossom in 2019. We want an eclectic mix of all tastes, styles, art-forms and interests in our programme, to reflect the wide range of people we want to inspire because when we say 'older' we mean anyone aged 50+'¦ so that's half the population to cater for!
We can't do it without you. If you are holding a creative opportunity that is relevant to older people then we want to know about it. We want to help you connect to people who aren't already taking part and celebrate the contribution you are already making. We are also encouraging everyone to do 'one more thing' than you are currently planning and connect with a new partner/ community group, deliver staff training/ review your offer, or even take the time to support partners delivering work locally and share your thoughts with us on social media.
To get involved, simply add your event to our online programme - if it's creative and aimed at older people (exclusively or intergenerationally), then we want it to be part of the festival. www.voluntaryarts.org/age-of-creativity
Once you have signed up, make sure everyone knows you are part of the Age of Creativity Festival by adding our logo to your programming and connect with us through social media so we can celebrate your contribution on an international platform through the Age of Creativity. Take photos and share quotes from your day to bring your work to life and help us tell the story of how much value creativity brings to the lives of older people up and down the country.
