Are you working with people living with dementia and their carers? Would you benefit from attending a half day session on Dementia and the Imagination Model?
The training, run by Creative Ageing Charity, Equal Arts, centres on working in the moment, exploring creativity and celebrating a person's imagination to support communication.
Dementia and Imagination sessions are ideal for creative practitioners and staff within cultural and community venues in contact with the public.
Offering a whole venue approach, the training provides participants with an understanding of the effects of dementia, and how to engage people living with dementia through multiple artforms and multi-sensory approaches.
Sessions are run in partnership with experienced artists to provide real life insights into delivering user-led 'in the moment' activities.
Our next session will take place on Wednesday 20 March 2019 (2-5pm) at Newcastle City Library, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NE1 8AX.
Sessions are £50 for artists/students and £75 for organisations. For more information please visit: https://equalarts.org.uk/our-work/training or contact Kate@equalarts.org.uk to book a place
