This Age of Creativity Festival is a celebration of older creative audiences, participants, volunteers and artists and we want to include what you are running- not matter how big or small. As a collective offer for the whole of England, we are able to market and profile work on a national scale and connect more people with more creativity, as well as showcase the amazing work that goes on all year round.
This year's theme is 'Reaching Out because we recognise that the majority of older people do not currently engage in a creative activity and this number increases for people who are a member of a minority group, ie LGBGT, BAME, with low income, living with multiple health conditions. We want our festival to be accessible and inclusive for all, which means we want to support you to reach out and connect with new people, so they can benefit from all the advantages there are of having a #creativelaterlife- as audience members, participants, volunteers in cultural venues or sharing their own creative practice. We are running a series of festival events this month and will be adding toolkits on a range of subjects over the next few weeks.
