A4D Early-Stage Dementia Awareness Training for Arts Organisations
Friday 4 December, 10:00-17:00 via Zoom
This interactive early-stage dementia awareness training specifically for arts facilitators and learning teams from arts organisations will be delivered for Arts 4 Dementia (A4D) by trainer Aubrey Maasdorp, with arts workshop guidance from Roberta Mazur, Ellen Wilson and Nigel Franklin of A4D. In the light of the COVID-19 situation, there will be a special focus on delivering virtual activities and opportunities to network in Zoom breakout rooms.
The training aims to provide arts facilitators with greater understanding, increased skills and improved confidence in communicating and working creatively with people experiencing the early stages of dementia and their carers. The day will help organisations work towards reaching new audiences, making their institutions more inclusive, and increasing their impact in the community, particularly through delivering remotely accessible activities.
